I am in the processs of installing the sugar operating system taht is used on the One Laptop Per Child machines, following hte directions on the OLPC wiki, http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar_with_sugar-jhbuild.

I have gone through the following lines, one at a time the terminal:
git-clone git://dev.laptop.org/sugar-jhbuild
cd sugar-jhbuild
git-pull
./sugar-jhbuild update
It is currently working on the line: ./sugar-jhbuild build

I have encountered a few errors in this line but I have chosen to ignore them.

I keep encountering errors and I think that that is why I am not successful in running sugar when I enter the command ./sugar-jhbuild run. I am not happy about this

I have been unsuccessful with installing Sugar and it is growing into a real pain and is just too frustrating to continue on with.
I have decided to keep working with this machine and learning what interesting things I can do with it. I am going to work to install KDE, a graphical desktop environment that runs on Ubuntu. It includes a different look than the default Ubuntu Gnome environment and different applications. It can be installed by using the terminal.
